summer stock full-day workshops
ENROLLMENT IS NOW OPEN!
Our Summer Stock Workshops are not summer camps, but rather full-day theatre curriculums where students rotate in age appropriate groups among three different areas of specialized study:
For Summer Stock Creative Theatre (entering 6th through 12th grade in 2026/2027):
Acting, Improv, and Script Writing.
For Summer Stock Musical Theatre (entering 6th through 12th grade in 2026/2027):
Acting, Voice, and Dance.
For Summer Stock Junior Sessions (entering K through 5th grade in 2026/2027):
Acting/ Improv, Singing, and Dance/ Movement.
Enrollment is for the full two-week session only. There is no enrollment for just one week of any session. If you need to miss a day or two of the session (prior to the showcase day), that is still acceptable.
Each Summer Stock Session takes place at Curtain Call's Theatre Complex at Sterling Farms, 1349 Newfield Avenue, Stamford, CT 06905. Classes will take place in our Kweskin Theatre main stage building (Building #11) both on stage and in the studio classroom on the upper level (accessible only by stairs), and our Dressing Theatre cabaret space (Building #13) both on stage and in the studio classroom on the upper level (accessible only by stairs). Our stages do have wheelchair and handicap access. Curtain Call does have access to outside areas of the property for recess or for holding class outdoors if it is so conducive.
Each Summer Stock Session is staffed with three principal instructors, a program coordinator (working under the Education Director), and a team of teaching assistants. (For Creative and Musical Theatre, there are three assistants. For Junior, there are nine to ten.) Creative and Musical Theatre assistants will be assigned to a specific instructor/ subject. Junior assistants will be assigned in teams to each student group.
Lunch and snack breaks are part of the daily schedule. Lunch is held either on the playground area of the Sterling Farms property on fair weather days, or in the Dressing Room Theatre if rain or extreme heat. LUNCH IS NOT PROVIDED. Students should bring their own lunch and snacks marked with their name, and avoid any nuts, nut products, or other airborne allergens. Refrigerators and microwave ovens are available on the premises for those who need them.
Students should bring a water bottle every day to keep hydrated. Water coolers and water fountains are available on the premises.
First aid kits are available in all classroom and performance spaces.
*Please let us know in your online enrollment form about any allergies, special conditions, needs, and/ or medications of which we should be aware.
