Learn how to use your voice to affect listeners in a deeply emotional way. Drawing from the teachings of Fitzmaurice, Linklater, Knight-Thompson, Barrantes and London's Jilly Bond, you’ll learn how to feel comfortable and confident in your vocal performance, how to keep a listening audience engaged, and hone and sharpen technique in speech, diction, relaxation and breath work. Vocal warmup exercises will be used to build vocal range and dexterity. The class will address accents, bad speech habits, and lack of breathing technique. We will practice with actual commercial scripts and learn how to edit your own demo tape for an exciting career in voiceovers! (For this class, you will need an independent microphone - separate from your computer. Here are links to some inexpensive models: Lavalier Lapel Omnidirectional Microphone and Recording Microphone with Stand.)
Registration: $250
