Six week session: 4/17, 4/24, 5/1, 5/8, 5/15, 5/22
Commercials have become their own form of entertainment – whether on television or through the internet – telling a wide variety of stories presented in different styles and opening up opportunities for diverse types of actors of every age, background and culture. Each week of this class dives into more intensive commercial acting: mastering the natural rhythm of commercial readings (just like riding a bike, once you ‘get it’ you ‘got it!’), product holding, cue cards, solo testimonials & multiple person slice of life scenes, voice over, hand and parts modeling, marketing tips for landing work, auditioning skills & the call back process, plus discussion of commercial agents vs casting directors, etc.
