The Klemperers’ New Clothes

The Klemperers' New Clothes

Directed by Brian Bianco
Curtain Call, Inc. in cooperation with The City Of Stamford proudly present;

"The Klemerers' New Clothes" - A Homespun Tale...

Music by Norman Weiss, Book and Lyrics by William Squier.

-a note from the Executive Director-

Once again I am thrilled, pleased and honered to share an original new musical with our loyal audiences. One of the most exciting parts of my job here is reading new scripts and listening to new scores. It's even more exciting when the music and lyrics are as terrific as they are in The Klemperers' New Clothes!

Over the past 5 years, we have been able to introduce many fabulous new works to our patrons - The common thread? William Squier! Stamford's very own Bard. Bill has been a Godsend to our community. His works, with various collaborators, have graced our stages many times and all to great reviews. And besides being talented, he's a great guy! Thank you for bringing another great show (and Norman!) to our family!

-Lou Ursone

The Klempere's New Clothes has had developmental/staged readings at The Collaborative Arts Project 21 (NYU), The York Theatre Company (NYC), and the ASCAP/Disney Musical Theatre Workshop (Disney Studios, Los Angeles) under the direction of Stephen Schwartz. Jennings New Script Award and the National Children's Theatre Festival's New Script Award.
