Curtain Call’s Shakespeare on the Green 2020: SHAKESPEARE & SONG!
Our summer 2020 plans have changed due to COVID-19.
We'll be presenting a series of performances featuring scenes and monologues from
our past productions as well as music from Shakespeare-inspired musicals like
West Side Story, Kiss Me Kate, The Boys from Syracuse and much more.
Director - Kevin Thompson
Music Director - George Croom
Final Performances: July 31 & August 1, 2: 7:30pm each night,
at our Sterling Farms campus home,
1349 Newfield Avenue, the park opens for seating at 6:30pm daily.
SOCIALLY DISTANCED SEATING PROCEDURES - Summer 2020
Due to current safety protocols, ADVANCE RESERVATIONS ARE REQUIRED.
We are following all State of Connecticut guidelines for seating which includes spacing groups 15 feet apart.
Total capacity will be about 125 vs our usual crowds of 350+
We will designate spaces, five feet square. (On a blanket, that's about 4 people comfortably; four standard folding chairs as well.)
Mark out that space and home to see if what you have will fit.
A minimum contribution is required for a reservation: $25 per person; $20 for Senior Citizens.
Children under 21 attend free.
(Since we've had no production income since March and have processed more than $14,000 in refunds recently, any amount over $25 will be greatly appreciated.)
CLICK HERE to make a reservation. (We're using our contribution site for this event.)
In the REMARKS field, please write SOG and tell us how many people you are paying for and
which date you're reserving for.
- Walk-ins subject to availability. If admitted, the reservation fee will need to be done through our website or text-to-give option.
(No cash transactions will be accepted.)
- Patrons must follow six foot social distance markers while waiting to be admitted.
- Patrons must wear masks until seated seated by our ushers.
- Masks may be removed once seated, but are required when passing through the crowd to restrooms or food tent.
- Seating will be on a first come, first served basis as always.
- Children are allowed, but cannot run around the property.
- The playground is totally closed.
- We will not be able to provide bug spray as in the past.

Nestled among the pine trees of the Sterling Farms Complex, we provide a unique experience for the community to participate in and enjoy the works of William Shakespeare. Our productions are presented on our very own, scaled-down version of the Globe Theatre Stage, though for 2020, our performances will be limited to scenes, monologues and songs.
