So often when dealing with musical theater, we focus on vocal chops. While important, it’s easy to forget there’s a character behind that sound. In this class, we aim to focus on more text driven musical theater pieces to help transform the musician into the actor as well - giving you the extra tools in your tool box to make yourself a triple threat, while also being able to enhance your singing technique. Students will receive instruction on how to develop a musical theater moment from a text perspective, navigate its acting beats, and connect it with their music foundations.
