LOL: Comedy and Improv for Tweens (ages 11-13):

*No classes 1/20 (Martin Luther King, Jr. Day) and 2/17 (President’s Day).

If you’ve got a talent (and a love) for making people laugh, this eight-week workshop is for you! Sharpen your timing, heighten your instincts, develop your own comedic characters and ideas as you explore improv, sketch, physical comedy, parody and stand-up. A performance showcase on our final date, March 16, 2020 is optional. As this is primarily a skill-building class, students should not feel pressure to perform, but can if the class so decides.

TV and Film Acting for Teens (ages 13-15):

*NO CLASS 10/1 for Rosh Hashanah and 11/5 for Election Day
Acting for the camera comes closer to reality than acting on stage and requires its own, unique set of skills. In this eight-week workshop, you’ll build the basic skills necessary to act and audition for television, film and commercials using actual network and film scripts. Explore how body and facial gestures convey important information to a viewing audience and how the camera lens can become your best friend. You’ll also receive tips for finding agents and booking professional work.

*No class 2/13 due to winter break for many lower Fairfield County Schools.

This intensive study in musical performance offers students opportunities for solo work, duets, trios and other small-group features. They’ll explore selections from some of Broadway and Off-Broadway’s best to find two new audition songs (an up-tempo and ballad) to add to their audition repertoire. The class will culminate in a very informal showcase on the final date, which is June 13, 2019. All students must be available for this showcase, which – barring any weather or emergency cancellations – is March 14, 2020. Any weather or emergency cancellations will result in the scheduling of our make-up dates as needed (March 21 and 28) Students must be available for make-up dates should they be needed.

BROADWAY TAP ADVANCED BEGINNERS: AGES 11-14

Broadway Tap for Tweens and Teens ages 11-14: Advanced Beginners

9/14, 9/21, 9/28, 10/19, 10/26, 11/2, 11/16 and 11/30
*NO CLASS 10/5, 10/12 for Columbus Day weekend and 11/9 for Veteran's Day weekend
Designed for actors who are looking to get a “leg up” in dance, this class explores a trademark style featured in so many musicals like Anything Goes 42nd Street, Shuffle Along, Newsies and TV shows like So You Think You Can Dance. This beginner’s class is designed for students with one year and a half or less tap experience.
Registration: $128 for all eight weeks or register at a drop-in rate of $18 per class.
