Summer Youth Programs

Curtain Call offers two different summer programs for youth: our Summerstock Programs (conservatory-style classes in dramatic and musical theatre arts) and our Summer Youth Theatre which produces a full-scale musical production each summer featuring performers and technicians entering grade four thru age twenty-one. Scroll down below our calendar for information on each.

Summerstock Full-Day Workshops

Our Summerstock and Summerstock Junior full-day performance workshops are conservatory-style programs where students hone creative, performance and social skills. So far this year, we are expecting that our 2021 Summerstock and Summerstock Junior workshops will take place IN-PERSON here at The Sterling Farms Theatre Complex.

There are four separate, two-week sessions that run Monday thru Friday. Under normal conditions, our Summerstock and Summerstock Junior programs can accommodate a maximum of 40 students each session. Students are then divided into age-appropriate groups for class rotations between three instructors, each specializing in their own area of study. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, this number will likely be significantly reduced. We are currently accepting reservations with a $50 deposit for the first 30 students in each two-week program.

Each Summerstock and Summerstock Junior session culminates in a showcase of student work. (This summer, our showcases will likely be recorded as opposed to live performances.) The day typically runs 9:30am to 4:30pm in-person for grades 6 thru 12 and 10:00am to 3:00pm in-person for grades K to 5. Should the program be online again this summer, these hours will be reduced. A lunch and snack break will be part of the daily schedule. Students will need to bring their own lunch/snack and water bottles.

Dates for each program are listed below. In the event that our programs must run virtually this summer, the program times will be subject to change:
